As leading specialists in bespoke staircases across South Yorkshire, we designed and installed a custom open riser staircase in a private home in Hepworth, Doncaster (DN9). The client wanted natural daylight to travel freely from the front-of-house windows, so a traditional closed staircase wasn’t an option.

Our Bespoke Staircase Solution
We manufactured a bespoke open riser staircase using redwood pine. Open riser staircases are perfect for homeowners in South Yorkshire seeking modern, light-enhancing stair designs.
To meet building regulations without compromising the design, we installed slim metal rods in the risers. These rods provide safety while remaining visually unobtrusive. The balustrade was completed using matching metal spindles, oak handrails & pine baserails creating a cohesive, contemporary look.
The Result
The finished staircase allows natural light to flow freely, creating an open, bright, and welcoming hallway. The client was highly delighted, emailing to say the staircase “looks superb.”
